The multi-award-winning Nigerian afro pop and R&B artist as well as actress and entertainer, Yemi Alade (32), recently posted about her awesome time in Namibia on social media.

Her adventure included trips to Swakopmund, Windhoek and Sossusvlei.

“Oh, my goodness! Dubai is great, but Namibia?!!! I am living my best life in Namibia. I had breakfast by the beach front each morning, quad biking in the desert with Desert Explorers, boat sailing in the ocean with Laramon Tours and hiking in the glorious dunes with pink and blue clouds in the sky.

“There is great weather and everything nice!” Alade marvelled on her Facebook account, which has more than nine million followers.

On her arrival, Alade was flocked by fans who took selfies with her outside Strand Hotel, where she lodged.

The musician was also full of praise about the quality of food she enjoyed during her stay at the hotel.

“The best oxtail sauce and smoked barbecued chicken wings I've had in a long time, all at Strand Hotel in Swakopmund,” Alade posted.

The musician was in the Land of the Brave to shoot a music video for her latest single “Temptation”, which features fellow Nigerian superstar Patoranking.

“My new video will be out on 7 April. Subscribe to my Youtube channel now,” she posted on her social media.

Yemi Alade’s music career began in 2009, when she won a Nigerian singing competition known as “The Peak Talent Show” and subsequently signed to record label Effyzzie Music Group, which is part of the Universal Music group.

Her international acclaim came in 2014, when she released her mega hit single “Johnny”.

The “Ferrari” hitmaker has since released five albums: King of Queens (2014), Mama Africa (2016), Black Magic (2017), Woman of Steel (2019) and her latest, Empress (2020). Her discography also includes a solitary EP (extended play record) Mama Afrique (2017).

Her latest album Empress includes collaborations with Grammy Award winning artists Estelle.

Alade was featured on "Don't Jealous Me", a track from Beyoncé's soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift.

Awards she has won include Best Female Artist and Best Female Artist in Western Africa at the AFRIMA (All Africa Music Awards) the MTV Africa Music Awards, The Soundcity MVP Awards and The Independent Music Awards and many others.

She also served as a judge on The Voice Nigeria singing competition in 2017 and 2020.
