Die C-Gals skud hul vere reg vir hul ‘Alice in Wonderland’ ma- en dogtertee wat op 14 Maart gehou om geld in te samel vir hul deelname aan die 11de Wêreldkoorspele.

Dit is die vierde keer wat die C-Gals aan dié kompetisie deelneem. Dit vind in Julie in België plaas en die groep, wat uit jong meisies en meer ervare dames bestaan, is van plan om weer hul stemme daar dik te maak.

Volgens die dirigent Wilna Liebenberg, is die ouderdomsverskille in die groep die inspirasie vir die ma en dogtertee.

“Omdat die C-Gals uit dames van tussen 10 en 70 jaar bestaan, is daar besluit om ’n spesiale geleentheid te reël waar die ma’s en dogters iets kan saamdoen.”

Die verrigtinge begin om 10:30 in die Walvisbaai stadsaal en beloof om volgens Liebenberg een van die hoogtepunte op die sosiale kalendar van die jaar te wees. Daar word ongeveer 250 gaste verwag en kaartjies kos N$200 elk. Dit sluit verversings in wat deur die koorlede voorberei is.

Vir ’n ekstra N$20 kan gaste by die grimeerhoekie aanmeld vir hul eie tema grimering. Die dames word aangemoedig om as hul gunsteling Alice in Wonderland-karakter aan te trek om hul grimering te komplimenteer.

Kort daarna is die C-Gals weer in die Duitse Lutherse kerk te sien wanneer hulle op Saterdag 27 Maart ’n Paaskonsert aanbied.
