Vroeë Kersfees bederf senior burgers

Kom 10 Desember, kom Namib Kitchens se Kersete vir die senior burgers van die Lions-oord op Swakopmund. Dis ‘n ou gebruik met net verlede jaar wat oorgeslaan was toe Morné Horn van Namib Kitchens ander verpligtinge buite Swakopmund gehad het.

Vanjaar is vir 160 senior burgers ingestaan. Morné sê die instelling het so uitgekring dat verskeie ander borge en vrywilligers ook betrokke geraak het. Die opmaak van ‘n saal van die oord was klaar ‘n groot werk. Elke senior burger se pakkie is persoonlik opgemaak vir ‘n uitstekende ete en buite het vrywiligers ‘n braaispan gevorm sodat van die roosters bedien kon word.

Dit was ook ‘n geleentheid vir individuele en groepfoto’s en die keer was ‘n massiewe driepootpot nie vir potjiekos nie, maar die houer van ‘n groot verskeidenheid geskenkte sjokoladesoorte.

Ook elders op Swakopmund was 10 Desember van pure bederf van senior burgers in die Kersgety. Ook op Hentiesbaai is bewys dat die temmersrol van die senior burgers nie vergete is nie.
