Vessel catches fire

A fire broke out on a vessel currently in for repairs at the Walvis Bay Syncrolift on Wednesday afternoon. According to Ipupa Kahseeta, syncrolift manager: ship and rig repair, the fire started in the accommodation compartment of the vessel. The Namport response team as well as the Walvis Bay municipal fire brigade was on scene to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported. Photo Leandrea Louw
