The Tides of Talents group exhibition opening at the Fine Art Gallery on Friday (tomorrow), features contemporary works by young artists from across Namibia.
According to the owner of the Fine Art Gallery, Martina von Wenzel, artists from different regions will be exhibiting their work.
“Through their work, ten artists are trying to bring their culture, values and belief to the audience.”
The exhibition, which is a combination of different art forms from different parts of the country, seeks to showcase diversity in art and includes the country’s wildlife, seascapes and landscapes.
“Realistic, semi-realistic, abstract, monochrome and polychrome are few of the art types that will be displayed. So, join us in celebrating the beginning of a new year by adding a splendid and unique piece of work to your art collection,” she says.
The participating artists are Corinne Erasmus, Louise von Wielligh, Anita Roux, Gerrit van Schouwenburg, Chris Snyman, Cobus van der Walt and Liz Visser, among others.
The exhibition can be viewed from 17 January until 14 February.
Fine Art Gallery is located in the centre of Swakopmund and was established by Von Wenzel in 2007. Here she features work by emerging and mid-career artists in both solo and thematically organised group shows with an emphasis on new contemporary, wildlife, landscapes and Namibian art.
