Three more Covid deaths

The deaths occurred in Windhoek, Rundu and Otjiwarongo.
The minister also announced 115 new Covid-19 positive cases from 1 228 samples received from the labratories; 62 of which are male while 53 are female. The youngest patient is 17 days old and the oldest 69-years.
The Khomas region recorded 60 cases and Hardap 24, while in the Erongo region seven cases were recorded in Usakso, four in Walvis Bay and one in Swakopmund. There rest of the positive cases are from the Otjozonjupa region (6), //Kharas (5), Omusati (3), Kavango East (2), Oshikoto (1), Omaheke (1) and Zambezi (1).
There were also 732 recoveries recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 6 543.
The two regions with the highest recoveries are Khomas (618) and Kavango East (58). Other recoveries were from Hardap (27), Ohangwena (14), Oshana (8), //Kharas (4) and Kavango West (3).
The total number of active cases now stands at 3 075. Of the active cases, 20 are in serious to critical condition.
Yesterday the minister announced 167 new Covid-19 postive cases coming from 1 701 tests conducted by various labratories.
“Of these positive samples, 90 are male and 77 are female, with the youngest being four months old and the oldest 71-years,” the minister said.
Windhoek recorded 114 positive cases, while Karasburg and Okahandja recorded eight each. Otjiwarongo, Walvis Bay, Rundu and Swakopmund recorded four cases each. The rest of the cases were recorded in Rehoboth (5), Mariental (1), Onandjokwe (2), Tsumeb (2), Okongo (3), Oshakati (3) Engela (1) and Outapi (1).
The total number of active cases for eysterday stood at 3 695, with 24 patients being in a serious to critical condition.
The minsiter also reported 913 recoveries, bringing the total recoveries to 5 811. The Erongo region and the Khomas region recorded 498 and 363 recoveries respectively.
The remaining recoveries were scattered throughout the country.
