The Heartbeat Recreation Hub hosts the Paint and Prosecco event on Saturday.

According to organiser and owner of The Heartbeat, Natalie Boois, she looks forward to hosting the event more consistently.

“I want to make it a monthly event because I have seen that there are many artists at the coast.”

Boois said the idea behind the initiative is to get artists together and make sure they enjoy exposure.

However, she called on those who don’t practice art for a living and those who perceive themselves to be arty, to join in as the event caters for everyone.

“At the end of the day, we are all artists. God is the artist who created all of us, bricklayers included,” said Boois.

Art enthusiasts can join the fun for N$180, which includes paint brushes, a canvas, a light meal and two glasses of juice or ice tea.

The Heartbeat is a bistro lounge with a barbeque and kiddies play area, beauty parlour and spa.

The hub is situated at 6 Nathaniel Maxuilili Street in the central business district.

The arty fun starts at 12:45.
