Tennis-aksie op Swakopmund

Die 9de Junior Namibië Tennisvereniging (NTA) toernooi het die afgelope naweek weer tennisgeesdriftiges na Swakopmund gelok.
Met ’n indrukwekkende 42 inskrywings, moes organiseerders bontstaan om genoeg bane vir almal te allokeer. ennisspelers van Windhoek en Okahanda het die pad aangedurf om kragte te meet met die kus se bestes. Die punte wat spelers in dié toernooi verdien, word in aanmerking geneem vir die opstel van nasionale ranglyste.
Hoewel koue weer gedreig het Vrydagaand, is die gees nie gebluf nie en is die bane warm gespeel.
In beide die seuns- en dogtersafdelings is puik wedstryde gespeel, met seuns o.12 en o.14 weer eens die mees tawwe kompetisie.

Meisies o.10 enkelspel: 1 Aina Nutyoma.
Seuns o. 10 enkelspel: 1 Johan Theron, 2 Leezinho Hungamo.
Meisies o.12 enkelspel: 1 Minenhle Moyo, 2 Clara Roets, 3 Joanivia Bezuidenhout. Dubbelspel: 1 Minenhle Moyo en Joanivia Bezuidenhout, 2 Clara Roets en Xenia Plarre.
Seuns o.12 enkelspel: 1 JW du Preez, 2 Antonio Tchivanda, 3 Ruan Calitz. Dubbelspel: 1 JW du Preez en Ruan Calitz, 2 Lian Kuhn en Brian Edwards.
Meisies o.14 enkelspel: 1 Dominique Theron, 2 Jamilla Hungamo.
Seuns o.14 enkelspel: 1 Adam Diggle, 2 Ruben Nel, 3 Juan Kuhn. Dubbelspel: 1 Oliver Leicher en Adam Diggle, 2 Ruben Nel en Juan Kuhn.
Meisies o.16 enkelspel: 1 Tammy Lombardt, 2 Kaylee van Wyk, 3 Nicola Nitschke. Dubbelspel: 1 Tammy Lombardt en Kaylee van Wyk, 2 Nicola Nitschke en Brumelda Brandt.
Seuns o.16 enkelspel: 1 Lorenzo Danster, 2 Kevin Nel, 3 Brandon van der Merwe. Dubbelspel: 1 Kevin Nel en Brandon van der Merwe, 2 Tristan Bezuidenhout en Lorenzo Danster.

Die NTA-komitee bedank elke speler wat aan die toernooi deelgeneem het. “Dis wonderlik om maand na maand ou vriende te ontvang wat dieselfde liefde en passie vir tennis koester. Dankie ook aan elke ondersteuner en ouer, selfs oupas en oumas wat die weer trotseer of die tyd opoffer en die NTA toernooie ondersteun.”
• Volgende word uitgesien na die NTA en CAT (Konfederasie van Afrika-tennis) se o.11 tot o.14-toernooi wat op 10 en 11 Oktober in Windhoek plaasvind, sowel as die Namibiese Junior Meesterstoernooi op 25 en 26 Oktober.
Ná afloop van komende naweek se toernooi sal die agt gekose spelers vir die Namibiese span aangekondig word wat gaan deelneem in die ITF/CAT o.14-toernooi in Mauritius vanaf 1 tot 7 November.
Spelers kan ook reeds uitsien na en voorberei op die o.14 en o.16 Suidelike Afrika individuele en spankampioenskap wat 10 tot 19 Januarie 2020 in Windhoek gaan plaasvind.
