Verskeie openbare vergaderings gaan op Swakopmund gehou word.

Die Swakopmund munisipaliteit gaan binnekort ’n reeks openbare vergaderings in verskillende woonbuurte van die dorp hou.

Die burgemeester, mnr. Nehemiah Solomon, het tydens die maandelikse raadsvergadering gesê reëlings word reeds getref vir die vergaderings wat vanaf 9 tot 13 Februarie plaasvind.

Die vergaderings sou einde verlede jaar plaasgevind het, maar slegs een byeenkoms het plaasgevind. Die res is uitgestel.

Die dorpsraad wil tydens die vergaderings probleme identifiseer en in oorleg met die gemeenskap oplossings daarvoor vind.

“Die departementshoofde moet kwelpunte identifiseer wat tydens hierdie vergaderings bespreek gaan word,” het Solomon gesê.

Tydens die vergadering wat op 10 November 2019 in die Meduletu-saal in Mondesa gehou is, is verskeie ontwikkelings vir die woonbuurt bespreek.

Die hoofbestuurder vir ingenieursdienste, mnr. Clarence McClune, het gesê verskeie erwe is in Mondesa beskikbaar gestel vir die oprigting van huise deur die Build Together-program.

“Die dorpsraad het 120 erwe in Uitbreiding 26 aan die Build Together-program toegeken en in hierdie boekjaar sal die stadsraad 147 huise vir begunstigdes van dié program bou.”

Twee erwe in Uitbreiding 26 is ook aan die Shack Dwellers Federation of Namibia (SDFN) toegeken, met 34 begunstigdes van die spaargroep wat daarby gaan baat. Die grond word deur lede onderverdeel en gediens.

McClune het gesê die uitleg en ontwerp van, asook bouplanne vir die MKB-nywerheidspark op Erf 4864 is reeds voltooi. “Die park bestaan uit 12 kantoorblokke, agt pakhuise en ’n plek om motors te was. Bouwerk sal in Maart 2020 begin en dit behoort tussen 10 en 12 maande te duur. ”

• Sondag 9 Februarie: Meduletu-saal, Mondesa

• Maandag 10 Februarie: Oop spasie agter brandweerstasie in DRC

• Dinsdag 11 Februarie: Nuwe betaalpunt in Matutura

• Woensdag 12 Februarie: Tamariskia-dorpsaal

• Donderdag 13 Februarie om 18:30: Inwoners van die sentrale sakekerm, Vineta en Kramersdorf ontmoet by die munisipale hoofkantoor.

Tensy anders vermeld, begin alle vergaderings om 18:00.
