“We offer a multitude of communication services across the country together with our partners and the rest of Africa. We deliver results with confidence, resourcefulness, and efficiency in the face of challenging and stressful situations.”

Tsouros said that a full range of ICT and communications services are offered in Walvis Bay. “We are now adding our Supersonic services – high speed internet connectivity to homes and businesses.”

He explained that the new development will mean better internet and communication speeds at extremely competitive rates for Walvis Bay residents.

“Plus it brings added value products as well as security and voice services. For Walvis Bay as a commercial hub, it will ensure that leading edge technology is now available.”

Tsouros said that a decision was made to branch out to Walvis Bay, given the plans for the city to be the premiere transport and shipping hub.

“We also already have a partnership in Swakopmund.”

In terms of employment opportunities for locals, he said: “Through our Be Your Own Boss (BYOB) program, entrepreneurs can resell our service. Also, through this program, training is provided to unemployed persons or small and medium Namibian companies to install our technologies.”

Tsouros added that MTN Namibia is in the final stages of commencing with further data and voice services on mobile throughout the country, starting with Windhoek and the coast with its own infrastructure and in partnership with other service providers in the country.
