The Namibia Community Skills Development Foundation (COSDEF) Arts and Craft Centre hosts a Valentine’s Paint and Wine Evening on the eve of Valentine’s Day.

The centre’s marketing coordinator, Jessica le Grange said that the event creates the perfect setting for both couples and singles to enjoy an evening of relaxation while celebrating Valentine’s Day.

“Participants will have fun while learning a painting skills and techniques, and creating their very own art work to take home and hang on their wall,” she said.

Renowned artist Sem Amuthitu will guide participants through the evening's events.

“You don't have to have any painting experience; we are going to teach you how to paint in a fun way. Sem will take participants step by step on creating a beautiful art piece,” Le Grange said.

According to her, it is essential for COSDEF to host an event of this nature.“After all the solitude that the pandemic caused, it's important to slowly start getting active again and start enjoying activities and events.”

Although 20 spots have already been taken, there are currently still ten open.“It is something different to do on a Saturday night and is a perfect chance to express yourself artistically and just let it all out.”

The cost is N$250 per person or N$450 per couple, which includes your art work, a glass of wine and some snacks.

The three-hour proceedings start at 17:00.
