Openbare toilet vir gemeenskap

As deel van ’n jaarlikse uitreik, het beamptes van die Namibiese korrektiewe dienste op Omaruru in die gemeenskap teruggeploeg.

Die Namibiese korrektiewe dienste het onlangs op Omaruru ’n openbare badkamer in die Hakahana-nedersetting amptelik oorhandig.

Die oorhandiging het saamgegaan met ’n skenking van N$1 030 se beddegoed aan die Erongo-streeksraad en N$2 100 se sanitêre doekies aan hoërskole op die dorp.

“Dit is tradisie by korrektiewe dienste om jaarliks by te dra tot die vooruitgang van ons sameleweing,” het kommissaris-generaal Raphael Hamunyela, tydens die oorhandiging gesê.

Die tradisie is in 2015 op Omaruru begin. In 2016 het lede van korrektiewe dienste in die gebied ’n huisie opgerig vir ’n ma en haar twee kinders. Die volgende jaar is klere aan die Alpha and Omega Parish Church en Omaruru-distrikshospitaal geskenk.

’n Totaal van N$ 14 731 is ingesamel met die hulp van die opleidingskollege se personeel wat N$ 11231 bygedra het.

Bank Windhoek, Fridhla Investments, PAPA Jossy Investments en Standard Bank het ook ingespring met bydraes. Die Omaruru-munisipaliteit het grond voorsien.

“Ons versoek die gemeenskap om die items op te pas en na die beste van hul vermoëns te gebruik,” het Hamunyela gesê.
