‘n winkel op Karibib spog met n splinternuwe baadjie

Woermann Brock (WB) Supermark Karibib is onlangs vanuit die grond af op oorgebou.

Luidens Konrad Schwieger, die bemarkingsbestuurder by die winkelgroep, het die ontwerp van die winkel so pas uit die 1900’s gearriveer op die dorp.

“Karibib het baie geskiedenis, ons wou hê dat dit moes in pas by die gevoel van die dorp, maar ook dat dit die geskiedenis van die dorp moet weerspiëel.”

Rudolph Fourie, die bestuurende direkteur van WB Supermarkte, sê dat die winkel presies soos die ou oorspronklike gebou lyk.

“Ons het alles gedoen, tot die gietyster hekkies het behoue gebly in ‘n poging om die geskiedenis van die dorp te laat voort leef.”

Fourie meen egter dat van die problem wat in toeka se tyd ondervind was by die gebou in die verlede sal bly.

“Ons het baie parkering en twee ingange daar gestel sodat alles nie so beknop hoef te wees nie,” sê hy.

Die winkel staan ook gereed met ‘n vrugte en groente afdeling wat skrik vir niks. Daar is ook ‘n bakery wat varsgebakte lekkernye sal bied en ‘n wegneem afdeling waar vars, warm wegneemetes gevind kan word.

“Die nuwe Duitse styl gebou is beslis iets is waarop die hele dorp baie trots is. Ons het ook die FNB bank en die Pep winkel groep by ons. Die idee was om alles bymekaar te hou,” sê Schwieger.

Hierdie Desember kan Karibib inwoners, asook toeriste wat daar verbygaan, met graagte inloer vir ‘n paar winskopies.

Die WB Supermarkets landswyd gaan ‘n spanpoging aanwend vanaf 3 Desember tot 6 Januarie om die beste produkte teen afslagpryse aan te bied.

Inligting oor die spesiale aanbiedinge gaan vervat word in ‘n 8 bladsy boekie verkrygbaar by WB Supermark Karibib.

Enige vrae of kwale kan aangemeld word by die WB Supermarkte se Facebook blad.

“Ons wil hê die kliënte moet vir ons kan sê waar ons kan verbeter en is konstant op ons Facebook blad om te kyk waar ons kan help,” sê Schwieger.
