Trevino Forbes het sy posisie as die burgemeester van Walvisbaai behou met Sara Mutondoka wat as die onderburgemeester verkies is tydens die onlangse verkiesing van raadslede op die hawedorp. Hy het belowe om die raad sonder vrees of guns te lei. ’n Paar veranderinge is rakende die samestelling van die bestuurskomitee aangebring. Die bestuurskomitee bestaan ??nou uit Ryan Gordon (Landless People’s Movement), Richard Hoaeb (Popular Democratic Movement), Ronald Bramwell (Joint Walvis Bay Resident's Association) en Leroy Victor (Independent Patriots for Change) met Olivia Andrews (Independent Patriots for Change) wat verkies is as ’n plaasvervangende lid. Richard Hoaeb is die verkose voorsitter van die bestuurskomitee. Die ander lede wat deel van die raad uitmaak, is Ephraim Shozi, Albertina Nkoshi en Paulus Kauhondamua, wat almal Swapo verteenwoordig. Foto Leandrea Louw
