No new Covid cases reported for Erongo

The executive director of the ministry of health and social services Ben Nangombe announced 49 new Covid-19 positive cases and 28 recoveries.

Nangombe explained that 1 714 results were received from the laboratories.

Of the newly reported cases 31 are males and 18 females with ages ranging from 17 to 81 years.

The new Covid-19 positive cases are distributed as follows: Oshakati (26), Windhoek (16), Rehoboth (2), Keetmanshoop (1), Rundu (1), Outapi (1) Onandjokwe (1) and Engela (1).

The confirmed cases from Oshakati District include 19 inmates from Oluno Correctional Facility and three learners from Iipumbu Senior Secondary School.

The executive director also announced 28 recoveries: Khomas (15), Omaheke (2),Omusati (2) and Oshana (9).

Of the active cases, five patients are in severe condition. In the Khomas region two patients are in severe condition and in the Oshana region three patients are also severely sick.
