No new cases for Erongo

The deputy minister of health and social services Esther Muinjangue, reported 18 new cases from 515 Covid-19 tested samples received from the labratories.

Fourteen of the newly recorded cases are male and 4 are female with their ages ranging from 21 to 69.

The most of the newly reported cases (7) are from Oshakati in the Oshana region.

The other cases were reported in Khomas (4), Ohangwena (2), Omusati (2), Karas (2) and the Kunene (1) regions.

Four of the newly reported cases are inmates from the Oluno Correctional Facility in the Oshakati district.

Covid-19 recoveries, however, far outweigh the number of new infections with 103 new recoveries reported. This brought the number of recoveries to 11 304.

The Oshana region also took the lead with 76 new recoveries followed by Khomas (20), Karas (3), Omusati (2) and one recovery each for Kunene and Omaheke.

Of the 1593 active cases three are in critical to severe condition in Khomas region.
