Johan Snyders; Co-owner, Namibia Safaris; “We want to give back to Namibians.”
The co-owner of Namibia Safaris, Johan Snyders, says they are excited about offering a 5% discount to locals who plan on making use of their six new campsites at Mile 8.
According to Snyders, this makes the campsites affordable for local visitors. “In business one must think out of the box.”
The six new campsites are priced at N$500 per person per night for the first four guests. If the group of campers is more than four, then the rest pay only N$75 per person per night. However, this is only applicable for a maximum of campers per site.
Besides giving back to Namibians, Snyders said the rate also applies to all residents of SADC for the entire year.
Each campsite boasts a kitchen, a cabin and a room.
Part of the reason for the low prices is that Namibia Safaris is a relatively new company, which was only founded last year.
There are also other campsites available at Mile 8, which can be booked through Namibia Safaris. These self-contained campsites cost N$400 per person per night.
There are also campsites that share ablution facilities, which are available at N$300 per person per night.
Snyders says that these rates are cheaper than many other tourism companies in the country.
In the meantime, he said that the company is hard at work to rebrand and refurbish their website. “Once the website is fully running in May, we will share even more information and specials.”
Information and specials on the website will also cover other destinations in Namibia.
