Alhoewel die Nedbank Kosfees nie in Maart kos- en kookliefhebbers kon onthaal by die vieringe van die fees se eerste verjaarsdag nie, het die organiseerders besluit om ‘n kookboek die lig te laat sien.

“Ons kon nie die fees in Maart hou nie, maar ons wou graag vir ons uitstallers ‘n platform gee en ons foodies betrek,” sê Dalene Stephanus, die brein agter die fees en ‘n organiseerder.

Dalene vertel dat die kookboek van ongeveer 70 bladsye alles van brood, sop en voorgeregte tot nageregte dek.

“Ons het resepte gekry by ywerige kokke met basiese vaardighede asook eksperimentele kokke.”

Die boek fokus op eg Namibiese kos, maar daar is ook eksotiese disse.

“Die boek fokus hoofsaaklik op ons kulinêre kultuur as Namibiërs, maar daar is ook kokke genooi wat in plaaslike en internasionale kos spesialiseer.”

Stephanus sê dat 15 kokke se werk in die boek se blaaie gedeel sal word en dat resepte deur die kokke gekies is.

Die harde omslag boek sal op 1 September vrygestel word, maar bestellings daarvoor kan reeds vanaf 1 Augustus geplaas word. Die boek sal teen N$199,95 beskikbaar wees.
