MTC Sunshine to invade Walvis Bay

Boxing enthusiasts at Walvis Bay will be treated to an early Christmas present as the MTC Nestor ‘Sunshine’ Tobias Boxing and Fitness Academy takes its next bonanza to the town on 4 December.
‘The Together as One Part 5’ boxing bonanza will be hosted under the lights of the Kuisebmond Community Hall as the country’s local boxers trade leather. Matheus ‘The Beast’ Heita will fight the main bout of the night against Tinashe Mwadziwana for the PAN Africa super bantamweight title over 12 rounds. Sebastiunus Natanael will battle in an international featherweight bout over 10 rounds, while Maxi Ipinge fights Tinashe Zihove in a supermiddleweight fight over six rounds.
Phillipus Shaanika will be the local attraction of the night when he squares off with Joseph Abel for the national super bantamweight title. Shaanika boasts a record of 10 fights, eight wins, one defeat and three losses, whilst Jason goes into the fight with a record of six fights, three wins, two losses and one draw.
“This is a chance to give these guys an opportunity to fight and become world champions in the future. You have to fight certain fights to reach certain levels because the more fights you fight, the more quality fights. It is an important card with world-class fighters and one can only say that the fans will be treated to a great,” Nestor Tobias said.
Martin Mukungu will be in action against Immanuel Jason for the featherweight national title, while Andreas Mwenyo and Lazarus Namalambo face off in a bantamweight national title. The fight night will not only provide an opportunity for those fighting for titles but has undercards lining up for four rounders. Erastus Shapaka and Festus Simeon will open the fight night in a flyweight bout over four rounds, while Marvin Nehemia clashes with Titus Nautumbo who makes his featherweight professional debut. Gerson Alweendo will go in his second fight of his pro career against Lineekela Nghifindaka who also fights his second ever pro bout in a junior lightweight division. Elson Kalus will battle Rafael Iita in a welterweight fight, while Andreas Shikongo battles David Haufiku in a junior middleweight bout. Nestor Thomas will face off against Antoni Moses in a bantamweight bout over four rounds.
