More explosive cricket action coming

The Coastal T20 cricket league began with three games last weekend.

Sparta 1 played against Sparta 2 on their home turf and managed to clinch a five wicket victory in Walvis Bay on Saturday.

Blue Waters 1 and Blue Waters 2 also played against each other. Current league champions Blue Waters 1, won with 10 wickets.
On Sunday, Sparta 1 played against Blue Waters 2 and managed to win by two runs.

New kids on the block, Pro-Ed Old Boys Cricket Club (PEOBCC) played their first game and managed to win by 89 runs against Blue Waters 1.

Fixtures

This weekend, 18 September, at the Walvis Bay Oval, at 09:00 it will be Blue Waters 1 versus Junior Coastal Cricket Academy (JCCA). Thereafter, Sparta 2 takes on Blue Waters 2 at 13:00. Sparta 1 plays PEOBCC at the Pro-Ed Academy cricket fields at 11:00 in Swakopmund.

On Sunday, Sparta 1 takes on Blue Waters 1 at 11:00 at the Sparta cricket field. At the same time, only at the Walvis Bay Oval, Blue Waters play against JCCA. Also starting at 11:00, PEOBCC 1 takes on PEOBCC 2 in Swakopmund.

In other cricket news, the Walvis Bay Salt Refiners tournament takes place in Walvis Bay and Swakopmund from 23 to 25 September.
