Verskeie matriekafskeide is die afgelope naweek met swier aan die kus gehou.

Die Sêkondere Skool Swakopmund het Vrydagaand sy funksie by die Swakopmund Hotel en Vermaaklikheidsentrum gehou en die tema was die Oscars.

Die Gekombineerde Skool Duinesig se geleentheid, onder dieselfde tema, was by die Atlantic Hotel op Walvisbaai.

Walvisbaai Privaat Hoërskool het beïndruk met “The Greatest Showman” as tema en die afskeid is in die skoolsaal gehou.

Saterdagaand het die Sekondêre Skool De Duine die swart-en-wit tapyt uitgerol en die tema was “Mr and Mrs Smith”.

Die volgende matriekafskeide om na uit te sien is dié van Pro-Ed Akademie (11 Oktober), The Dolphin Schools (11 Oktober), Westside Hoërskool (28 Oktober), Namib Hoërskool (01 November), Coastal Hoërskool (07 November) en die Sekondêre Skool Kuisebmond (09 November).

Matrieks se finale eksamen het reeds begin met Engelse letterkunde- en mondelinge eksamens wat tot 20 September duur. Die eerste vak, geskiedenis, word op 30 September geskryf.
