Recording artist Clinton “LeSean Elshadai” Mulenga and Jonathan “Johnny Be Good” Luvindao recently released the EP (extended play) project Kaliyuga with a purchase price of N$1 million on the online steaming platform, Donlu Africa.
The rapper said that he chose to price the EP for this a amount to raise awareness about mental health issues.
“There was a time I suffered from depression. I didn’t hide it; I spoke about it with people. With this project I decided to campaign with a group of people connected to Esperance Luvindao, who is pushing to help people with mental health issues.”
Another reason for releasing the EP is to remind people about the value of music in these precarious times.
“My music still has value, no matter how things are going in the industry or for musicians.”
According to the artist, “Kaliyuga” is a Hindi word that describes a demon of darkness, misery and sin, and is believed to be the age we are currently in.
With tracks like “Hold up”, “Spider Man”, “Hammer” and “I know”, the EP consists of ten tracks.
The project was produced by NH Mill (Natangwe Hamunyela) and Ukraine producer Bahr Beats (Ivan Mozheiko), who also mixed and mastered the project.
LeSean ElShadai was a resident of the coast for seven years. Nine months ago he moved to Ruacana.
