Four-time 2020 MTC/NBC NAMAs (Namibia Annual Music Awards) nominee Joharetha Nel, known in the music fraternity as Joharetha, is set to perform at a star-studded MTC 081Everyone Hope Concert in Windhoek.
She will share the stage with South African powerhouse gospel acts like legendary Benjamin Dube as well as the iconic Bucy Radebe and Ayanda Ntanzi.
The Walvis Bay-based gospel songbird said that she is very excited about the event.
“This will be a first for me and it will show a different side of my music. I'm rehearing a lot to give the audience the best of me,” she said.
According to the “Atata” and “Veertig Dae” hitmaker, she will use the opportunity to provide hope for Namibians in the Covid-19 era.
“It is the perfect way to give hope while people are going through so many different things. Everyone is coping in their own way. Sometimes we don’t even bother to share or talk to someone about it, and often forget that we have our heavenly Father who will always provide and care for us and our needs.”
Joharetha said she is blessed to share her talent and hopefully touch hearts by singing and praising God’s name.
She was nominated for Best Afrikaans, Best Gospel, Best Music Video and Newcomer of the Year at the 2020 MTC/NBC NAMAs.
Other Namibian acts gracing the stage at the MTC 081Every1 Hope Concert are award-winning Maranatha, Pride, Rodney Seibeb, Effy, Franklin & Dee’A, Clive & the Now Generation Choir and Nam Gospel United.
The MTC 081Every1 Hope Concert takes place at the Safari Hotel on Saturday, 3 July from 11:00.
One hundred live in-theatre tickets are available via webtickets.com.na at N$2 000 each. The concert will also be broadcast live across all social media platforms.
