Die kunsuitstalling “Little Big Things” (LBT) 2020 nooi weer kunstenaars om hul werke vir hierdie jaar se weergawe in te skryf.

Die uitstalling word vanjaar weer deur die Swakopmund Kunsvereniging aangebied met die tema "Wees gelukkig!"

“Help ons om nog ’n ongelooflike uitstalling te bou!” het Urte Remmert van die vereniging vir kunstenaars aangemoedig.

Beide gevestigde en ontluikende kunstenaars van 14-jaar en ouer en van regoor die land, kan aan die uitstalling deelneem. Elke voltooide kunswerk moet ’n maksimum van 20x20cm groot wees en moet ook gehang kan word.

Daar is twee soorte skilderdoeke van die voorgeskrewe grootte wat kunstenaars direk by die vereniging kan bekom teen ’n afslagprys van onderskeidelik N$50 en N$80.

“Kunstenaars mag tot vyf kunswerke in enige medium inskryf, hetsy twee- of driedimensioneel,” het Remmert gesê.

Media wat ingedien kan word, sluit tekeninge, skilderye, gemengde media, borduurwerk, installasies, klei, houtsneewerk, draadwerk, herwinde materiaal, fotografie, afdrukke, weefwerk, mosaïeke, tekstiele en kraalwerk in.

Remmert het gesê die kunswerke mag slegs agter geteken wees, omdat dit anoniem uitgestal word. Die naam van die kunstenaar sal eers ná dit gekoop is, met die koper gedeel word.

Deelname is gratis, maar die vereniging neem ’n 25% kommissie op elke kunswerk wat verkoop word. Die kunswerke sal teen N$450 elk te koop wees.

“Ons gaan die kunswerke in verskillende vertoonvensters in die middedorp versprei en vertoon,” het sy gesê.

Die kunsitems kan vanaf Maandag 21 September tot Donderdag 24 September van 10:00 tot 12:00, en weer van 15:00 tot 17:00 by die galery afgelaai word. Daarna sal kunswerke vanaf Saterdag 3 Oktober om 11:00 te sien wees.
