Die Bank Windhoek-tak op Walvisbaai het weer eens ’n suksesvolle stap-, hardloop-, fietsry- en pretdaggeleentheid aangebied ter ondersteuning van die Kankervereniging van Namibië (CAN) en kankerlyers in die land.

Vanjaar het 180 deelnemers aangetree vir dié geldinsamelingsprojek. Dit was die tweede keer dat die bank dié inisiatief gereël het.

Me. Anita Menges van Bank Windhoek het gesê verlede jaar is meer as N$11 000 ingesamel en vanjaar N$17 250. Deelnemers het vrywilliglik veel meer as die vereiste inskrywingsgeld van N$100 vir volwassenes en N$50 vir kinders betaal, volgens haar.

Christo Smit en Adriaan Boonzaaier het die eerste plek in die 5 km-harloopitem gedeel met 'n tyd van 29 minute 07 sekondes. Ethan Snyders het die 10 km-draf in ’n tyd van 47 minute gewen, en Dirk Kotze die 30 km-fietsry in 60 minute.
