Helpende hand vir senior burgers

Die Erongo Trust vir Bejaardes het verlede week Woensdag N $ 260 304,67 van Belvedere Safari Adventures ontvang.

Die Trust is in 2004 gestig met Samuel Nuuyoma die Namibiese ambassadeur in Brasilië, Hafeni Ndemula die voormalige voorsitter van die Erongo-streekraad en King Mandume Muatunga ‘n voormalige burgemeester van Walvisbaai as bestuurslede.

Belvedere Safari Adventures het 'n konsessie wat in 2021 verval, in 2004 by die ministerie van Omgewingsake en Toerisme ontvang.

Die onderneming is werksaam in die Namib Naukluft Park en die Skeleton Coast Nasionale Park.

Matheus Amadhila van Belvedere Safari Adventures het sy dank uitgespreek teenoor almal wat 'n rol gespeel het om die skenking aan die ouderlinge moontlik te maak.



Ndemula het op sy beurt verduidelik dat die Vonds gestig is om na die ouderlinge van die streek om te sien.

'Ons het die Trust opgerig om die welstand van bejaardes te help bevorder. Die doel is egter nie net om hulle kontant te gee en dan weg te stuur nie. Ons kyk wat hulle nodig het en benaader dan ‘n verskaffer om an die nood om te sien. ”

Samuel Thaniseb het namens die bejaardes hulle dank uitgespreek teenoor die ondernemening.

“Dankie dat julle na ons omsien en nie van ons vergeet nie.”
