Die Gus Kholner hengeltoernooi het vir groot opgewondenheid langs die viswaters gesorg. Die toernooi wat oor drie dae gestrek het, het by Myl 8 en Myl 14 plaasgevind, met twaalf spanne wat deelgeneem het, naamlik President A, President B, Veterans, Development, Masters en Dames van beide Namibië en Suid-Afrika. Die seewater was redelik rof, maar daar is nog tot op die laaste dag gehengel, toe die vrouespan uiteindelik as die wenners gekroon is.
