Tenders oop vir konsessies

Die ministerie van die omgewing, bosbou en toerisme nooi belangstellendes in die toerismebedryf uit om toerismekonsessies ter waarde van miljoene dollar in die Tsau //Khaeb (Sperrgebiet) Nasionale Park (TKNP) te ontwikkel.

Die toerismekonsessies behels onder meer oorde van meer as 60 beddens elk by Griffithbaai en langs die Oranje­rivier, asook aktiwiteite soos avontuurreise wat 4x4-duine­safari's en avontuursafari's langs die kus, visvangtoere, wildritte, staproetes, sandski, vlieërski, seilplankry en kajakvaarte insluit.

Geskiedkundige spookdorptoere na Kolmanskop, kampeer- en piekniekgeriewe, uitkykpunte, asook konferensiefasiliteite is deel van die tender-uitnodiging vir toerisme-ontwikkelings in die Tsau //Khaub (Sperrgebiet) Nasionale Park.

Konsessies

Die konsessietitels sluit in die Noordelike Sand en See wat die gebied noord van Lüderitz aangrensend tot die Atlantiese Oseaan en noordwaarts en ooswaarts na die Namib Naukluft Nasionale Park insluit, asook Lüderitz se skiereiland, kus en mynbougebied, Kolmanskop, die Oranjerivier en wildernisgebiede aan die oostelike kant van die TKNP.

Die twee groot tenders is vir 'n oord met 60 beddens by die Griffithbaai in die konsessie van die Lüderitz-skiereiland, asook 'n oord met 30 eenhede met 60 beddens, 'n restaurant, konferensie-, kampeer- en piekniekgeriewe langs die Oranjerivier.

Die Oranjerivier-konsessie sluit twee avontuursones in met begeleide 4x4-sandduine-toere, sandski en aktiwiteite op die rivier.

Die twee avontuursones is noordoos en oos van Oranjemund.

Die konsessie vir die Noordelike Sand en See behels 4x4-duinetoere en avontuursafari's langs die kus, oornagkampering in mobiele kampe by Dagger Rocks en Douglasbaai, begeleide geskiedkundige toere na myndorpies, kwadfietstoere, sandski en visvangsafari's.

Lüderitz

Vir die Lüderitz-skiereiland se konsessie word geskiedkundige en biodiversiteitstoere na die Diaz-kruis en die ligtoring beplan, asook visvang­safari's en toere na Halifax-eiland en watersport in die strandmeer soos kajakvaarte, vlieërski en seilplankry.

Daar kan ook vir die parkeerareas met uitsigpunte en inligtingsborde langs die kus en piekniekplekke met ablusiegeriewe getender word.

Vir die Lüderitz-kus en -mynbougebied kan getender word vir bustoere na Grillental en Bogenfels, begeleide 4x4-safari's na Elizabethbaai, Grillental, Pomona en Bogenfells en safari's na die binneland na Kinghardtberg.

Die Roter Kamm-kratergebied is die konsessie waar begeleide 4x4-toere en wildritte vanaf Rosh Pinah aangebied word. Daar is ook tenders beskikbaar vir die ontwikkeling van 'n oornagkampeerterrein oos van die krater, asook piekniektafels, ablusiegeriewe en 'n parkeerarea by die uitkykpunt van die Roter Kamm-krater. Die Roter Kamm-meteorietkrater is sowat 80 km noord van Oranjemund en 12 km suidwes van die Aurusberg geleë.

Die minister van die omgewing, bosbou en toerisme, mnr. Pohamba Shifeta, en die Duitse ambassadeur, in Namibië, mnr. Herbert Beck, het die Tsau //Kheib (Sperrgebiet) Nasionale Park op 15 November 2019 amptelik geopen.

Toe is bekend gemaak dat die steun aan NamParks vir dié park se infrastruktuur met behulp van die Duitse Ontwikkelingskoöperasie deur die KfW, en medefinansiering van die Namibiese regering deur die omgewingsministerie 5 miljoen euro (toe N$80 miljoen) sou beloop.

Volgens Shifeta is die TKNP se biodiversiteit van wêreldwye aansien met sy endemiese flora van die Nama Karoo sukkulente bioom.

Voornemende tenderaars het nog kans tot komende Vrydag, 16 April om die registrasiedokumente te bekom. Sonder registrasie kan daar nie aan die tenderproses deelgeneem word nie. Die sluitingsdatum vir die tenders is Vrydag 18 Junie om 17:00.
