Goeieman, Pritzen winners at WB Coastal Classic run

The Woermann Brock (WB) Coast Classic featured the 17km run, 6km fun run as well as the 17km, 45km and 75km mountain bike races in a challenging course through the Dorob National Park.
Erich Goeieman won the men’s 17km run. He finished in a time of 53:55 a few minutes ahead of Kephas Gebbard who was second with a time of 55:33. Nesley Gawaseb clocked 1:00:18 and finished third.
“I am very happy with what I’ve achieved so far. I put in a lot of hard work. I am looking forward be here again next year and would like to improve my time. It’s a very tough course,” said Goeieman.
The women’s 17km run was won by Dunja Pritzen in a time of 1:09:39. She finished ahead of Elize Steyl (1:18:21) and Lydia Thiel (1:19:09) who were second and third respectively.
“It was a good experience and a very demanding trail. It was tough but it was great. I am going to do the Hangana Hake 42km marathon next weekend so we’ll see how that will go. Well done to Woermann Brock for organizing this, you really did a great job,” said Pritzen after her victory.
