Gemors by Solitude ’n ‘misverstand’

Die burgemeester van Hentiesbaai, mnr. Lewies Vermaak, het onlangse sosiale media berigte van walglike toestande in die Solitude area afgemaak as “ietwat misleidend”.

“Weet iemand wat aan gaan by Solitude? Kyk hoe lyk dit daar. Net paiere wat ooral rondlê en waneer die oostewind kom waai beland alles in die see. Doen Henties munisipalitiet iets omtrent dit?” het ‘n persoon onlangs op ‘n Facebook plaasing gevra.

“Dit is nie die Solitude area nie, dit is ’n gebou wat aan plaaslike inwoners bekend is as die ou Stokkies-kroeg,” sê Vermaak.

Volgens hom was daar vir ’n lang tyd onrus onder inwoners omdat die plek platgeslaan moes word en hierdie stap net nooit geneem is nie.

Vermaak het alle vrae aan die uitvoerende hoof van die Hentiesbaai munisipaliteit, me. Elizabeth Coetzee gerig.

Hy het glo voorheen by Coetzee aangedring dat hierdie area skoongemaak word.

Toe Coetzee deur Erongo 24/7 genader is vir duidelikheid, het sy egter gesê dat sy geen kennis van die aangeleentheid dra nie.
