Four medals for Namibia Jiu-Jitsu team

The Abu Dhabi International Pro Jiu-Jitsu championship concluded on Sunday at the John Barrable Hall in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Athletes from Angola, South Africa, Namibia, Israel and Pakistan took part in the two day championship.

Many people were surprised by the Namibian team’s excellent performance as the team brought home four medals which included one gold, two silver and bronze medal.

Namibia’s gold medal was won by Delano Müller who remains undefeated after his fight lasted a mere 75 seconds. Up to date, Müller has not lost any international championship.

Jan Gouws also surprised friend and foe at his first international competition. He won a well-deserved silver medal.
Giano Alcock also walked away with a silver medal, while Lesley !Hoaëb won a bronze medal.

The competition was tough and well organised.

The next competition will take place Stellenbosch, South Africa on 29 February 2020.
