Forty eight new Covid cases reported

The minister of health and social services Dr Kalumbi Shangula announced 48 new Coivd-19 positive cases and 59 new recoveries

The minister said that a total of 1 255 Covid-19 test results were received from the laboratories.

Of the newly reported cases 25 are males and 23 are females with ages ranging from 4 years to 76 years.

The confirmed cases are distributed as follows: Khomas 18, Oshana 17, Ohangwena 4, Oshikoto 3, Erongo 2, Omaheke 1, Hardap 1, Otjozondjupa 1 and Kavango East 1.

Shangula explained that the Windhoek cases have no specific cluster and are spread over various suburbs.

The recoveries announced are distributed as follow: Khomas 53, Erongo 2, Karas 2 and Zambezi 2. The total number of recoveries now stands at 10 419.

The minister said that one patient is in a severe condition and four are in critical condition.
