Erongo Business and Tourism Expo byna hier

Vanjaar se ekspo beloof weereens om sake en toerisme in die streek na vore te bring.

Die 13de jaarlikse Erongo sake- en toerisme ekspo vind aan die einde van hierdie maand plaas.

Ondanks die huidige resessie, het hierdie ekspo een van die grootste handelskoue in Namibië geword.

Die ekspo vind vanaf Woensdag 30 Oktober tot Saterdag 2 November in Walvisbaai plaas en beloof dit om weer vir die plaaslike ekonomie ’n hupstoot te gee.

Verskeie ondernemings in Walvisbaai en die ander kusdorpe sal by die skou baat, aangesien die klem op sake val en nie deur vermaak oorskadu word nie.

Die ekspo fokus op plaaslike, streeks- en internasionale sakegeleenthede, die skoonheid van die Erongostreek asook as natuurlike en mariene hulpbronne, uitstekende hawefasiliteite en verskillende verbindings tussen die hawe en lande in die streek. Só word beleggingsgeleenthede in Walvisbaai in die kollig geplaas.

Die ekspo vind by die stadsaal plaas en toegang is gratis. Terwyl kinders die speelterrein kan geniet, kry ouers kans om rond te loop en te kyk wat die verskillende uitstallers bied.

Benewens die munisipaliteit van Walvisbaai, sluit die ekspo se vennote onder andere ErongoRED, Confidénte Newspaper, Dunes Guest House, MTC Namibia, Guans Packaging, Namibia Breweries en Coca-Cola in.

Volgens die organiseerders, verwag hulle ’n soortgelyke aantal sake-uitstallers en besoekers as verlede jaar, ten spyte van die heersende ekonomiese toestand. Uitstallers sluit bankdienste, opvoedkundige instansies, versekeraars en kleinhandelaars, talle plaaslike SMEs, ministeries en openbare ondernemings asook diplomatieke sendings in Namibië in.

Op die oomblik is daar net nog ’n paar uitstalspasies oor.

Wat die buite-area betref, is 90% van die stalletjies aan mikro-ondernemings toegeken waar tradisionele en internasionale kos beskikbaar sal wees.

In vergelyking met vorige uitgawes van die skou, word daar vanjaar ’n groter verskeidenheid uitstallers wat uiteenlopende produkte en dienste aangebied.

Trekpleisters sluit in die Usakos Museum wat inligtingsessies hou en die Moonlight Resort wat ’n ‘pop up’-restaurant bestuur en wat ook ook sorg vir kos vir gaste wat die openingseremonie bywoon.

“Met al hierdie en nog meer op die spyskaart, nooi die organiseerders ’n ieder en elk wat wil deelneem aan vanjaar se ekspo om so gou as moontlik die besprekingskantoor te kontak,” het me. Desire Stevens van Expo Studios Namibia gesê.
