Discovery of human remains puzzle

Police in the Erongo region are puzzled after human remains were discovered in the desert at Farm Lewater between Uis and Henties Bay.
“We assume that the person died three or four months ago, but no one in the area was reported missing,” says Erongo police spokesman Erastus Iikuyu.
According to him, a goat herder made the discovery on Saturday.
Police are assuming that the body is male. “The remains were discovered under a tree. A belt, gray / white trousers, blue jacket, black socks, boots (size six or seven) and roll-on deodorant were also found,” said Iikuyu.
The cause of death is unknown.
The police cannot rule out that the body is that of a San male who, along with two family members, has been missing near Brandberg since March, however it seems unlikely.
“In this case, the remains were found 50km south of Uis, while the three San went missing 50km north of Uis,” Iikuyu said.
It is also unlikely that the remains are those of the American Mark Mokosso, who has been missing since the end of 2017.
“The body and shoe size in this case differ from that of the American,” Iikuyu said.
