Covid-19 positive cases surpass 100 mark

The minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula just announced another 12 new Covid-19 positive cases recorded in the country.

This brings the total number to over 102 cases. The minister said that all the cases are from Erongo region with 11 from Walvis Bay and 1 from Swakopmund. Seven are contacts of confirmed cases. Six had no Covid-19 related symptoms, while five had symptoms at the time of testing.

He appealed to the inhabitants of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund to stay calm and to stay home.

“Protect yourself, your family and the nation by observing personal protection measures.”

Case No 91 is a Namibian female (29) from Walvis Bay. She was tested on 22 June as part of active cases search and the result returned positive. She is in a satisfactory condition. She had no known contact with a confirmed case. Contact tracing will start immediately.

Case No 92 is a Namibian male (37) from Walvis Bay. He was tested on 22 June as part of active cases search and the result returned positive. He had no known contact with a confirmed case and did not have Covid-19 related symptoms. Contact tracing will start immediately.

Case No 93 is a Namibian female (27) from Walvis Bay. She is a contact of a confirmed case and was tested on 22 June. The result returned positive. She had Covid-19 related symptoms. Her condition is satisfactory.

Case No 94 is a Namibian male (23) from Walvis Bay. He had no known contact with a confirmed case and was tested on 22 June as he had Covid-19 related symptoms. The result returned positive. Contact tracing will commence immediately. His condition is satisfactory.

Case No 95 is a Namibian female (35) from Walvis Bay with no known contact to a confirmed case. She was tested on 22 June as she had with Cpvid-19 related symptoms. The result returned positive. Contact tracing will commence immediately to establish the source of infection. She is in satisfactory condition.

Case No 96 is a Namibian female (37) from Walvis Bay who is a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on 22 June 2020 and had Covid-19 related symptoms. The result returned positive. She is in a satisfactory condition.

Case No 97 is a Namibian female (25) from Walvis Bay who is a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on 22 June and had no Covid-19 related symptoms at that time. The result returned positive. She is in a satisfactory condition.

Case No 98 is a Namibian female (50) from Walvis Bay who is a contact of the confirmed case. She was swabbed on 22 June and had no COVID-19 related symptoms. The result returned positive. Her condition is satisfactory.

Case No 99 is a Namibian female (21) rom Walvis Bay. She is a contact of a confirmed case and was tested on 22 June. She had no Covid-19 related symptoms at that time. The result returned positive. She is in a satisfactory condition.

Case No 100 is a Namibian male (6) from Swakopmund who is a contact of a confirmed case. He was tested on 22 June and at the time had no Covid-19 related symptoms. The result returned positive. He is in a satisfactory condition.

Case No 101 is a Namibian female (22) from Walvis Bay and a contact of a confirmed case. She was tested on 22 June and at the time had no Covid-19 related symptoms. The result returned positive. She is in a satisfactory condition.

Case No 102 is a Namibian male (39) from Walvis Bay with no known contact to a confirmed case. He was tested on 22 June and had Covid-19 related symptoms. The result returned positive. Contact tracing will commence immediately to establish the source of infection as well as those who might have been exposed. He is in a satisfactory condition.
