The Namibia Community Skills Development Foundation (COSDEF) Arts & Craft Centre’s Paint and Wine event initially scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed to 27 February.

While apologising for the inconvenience, the centre’s marketing coordinator Jessica le Grange said the event at the end of the month will still deliver a fun evening for either couples or friends to enjoy.

Le Grange said the Paint and Wine creates a beautiful atmosphere for participants to enjoy an evening of relaxation. “You will have fun while learning new painting skills and techniques, and creating your very own art work to take home,” she said.

As was originally the planned, renowned artist Sem Amuthitu will still guide participants throughout the course of the evening. “You don’t have to have any painting experience; we will teach you how to paint in a fun way. Sem will teach you to create a beautiful art piece step-by-step.”

According to Le Grange, events like these are vital for COSDEF. “After all the solitude that the pandemic brought about, it’s important to get active again and start enjoying activities and events.”

Participation costs N$250 per person or N$450 per couple, which includes your art work, a glass of wine and some snacks. The three-hour proceedings start at 17:00.
