The Voice Perfect Namibia singing competition has reached episode 4, with only 30 participants remaining. Of these, seven are from Swakopmund and Walvis Bay and they are Nesto, Karlie the Vocalist, Azaria, JR, Keenan, Janine Manuel and Kuku_V.

Episode 4 of the competition is dubbed as the In-House Battles. During this episode, the participants are divided into five groups of six singers each. Each group is classified by a specific vocal key ranging from E Major to G Major.

The judges, who include Monique English, Lioness (La-Toya Mwoombola) and Chikune (Colleen Leitner) have been assigned to choose a different song for each group.

The singers will battle it out against fellow group members to reach episode 5 of the competition, with only 15 singers.
Ernesto “Nesto” de Jesus (17), said he is very excitement about reaching the top 30. “Coming this far is a blessing, combined with a feeling of gratitude and appreciation. I am humbled,” he said.

The grade 11 learner at Namib High School said he is already working hard to prepare for the In-House Battles.

“It is definitely out of my comfort zone, so I put in extra effort because it is a foreign language which I have to sing in. This is really testing my ability to be versatile and I am really working hard on this one. The vocals and pronunciation of the song’s lyrics are challenging, but I am coping. I believe that I will get better because practice does make perfect,” he said.

During the In-House Battle round, the three singers who deliver the best rendition of the song in each group, will progress to episode 5.
