Vyf babameisies en ‘n babaseun is op Nuwejaarsdag aan die kus gebore.

Twee babas, ‘n dogtertjie en ‘n seuntjie, is by die Swakopmund-staatshospitaal gebore en vier dogtertjies het hul eerste lewenslig by die staatshospitaal in Walvisbaai aanskou.

Lotango Josua was die eerste baba gebore by die Swakopmund-staatshospitaal. Sy het omstreeks 02:50 die wêreld betree.

Me. Elizabeth Josua (31) is die trotse moeder van die babadogtertjie wat 'n gesonde 3,32 kg geweeg het. Dit is Josua se vierde kind en sy is nou ‘n ma van drie dogters en een seun.

Sy was baie opgewonde oor haar Nuwejaarsbaba.

“Ek is baie gelukkig,” het Josua gesê. “Dit is maar selde dat 'n kind op Nuwejaarsdag gebore word. In ons gesin is nog niemand gebore op hierdie dag nie.”

Me. Lovisa Nghituua (28) het vir die tweede keer ma geword. Sy het om 13:49 geboorte geskenk aan 'n babaseuntjie, William Ekandjo, wat 2,91 kg geweeg het.

Geen Nuwejaarsdagbabas is by Swakopmund Mediclinic gebore nie.

Die eerste Nuwejaarsdagbaba by Walvisbaai se staatshospitaal is om 05:00 gebore en het 3,3 kilogram geweeg.

Haar mamma en pappa, me. Desire Nawes en mnr. Erwin Naweb, was baie bly dat hul kleinding op Nuwejaarsdag gebore is. Dit is Desire se vyfde baba.

Die tweede babameisie is om 09:17 gebore en het 3 kg geweeg. Sy is haar mamma, me. Maria Fillipus, se tweede baba.

Gift Noabes is om 11:34 gebore en het ‘n skrale 1,7 kg geweeg. Haar mamma het vertel die geskenk was eers vir Maart bestem, maar sy was baie bly haar baba is gesond.

Baba Stephanus is om 21:35 gebore en het 2,8 kg geweeg. Sy is me. Anna Stephanus se derde kind.

“Sy is soveel meer spesiaal vir my omdat sy op Nuwejaar gebore is,” het Stephanus gesê.

Daar was geen geboortes by die Welwitschia-hospitaal in Walvisbaai nie.
