Die minister van gesondheid en maatskaplike dienste, dr. Kalumbi Shangula, het bevestig ’n besending AstraZeneca kom die naweek in Windhoek aan.

Volgens Shangula word 75 000 dosisse van die entstof teen Covid-19 uit Nederland Sondag in die hoofstad verwag. Dit kom in ’n tyd waarin verskeie mense reeds hul eerste dosisse van die entstof ontvang het en sommige reeds ’n maand en meer vir hul tweede dosisse wag.

Tot op hede het 74 830 mense hul eerste dosis AstraZeneca ontvang.

Shangula het verlede week tydens die afkondiging van die jongste Covid-19-regulasies gesê 302 000 dosisse Johnson & Johnson word deur Covax van Amerika verwag. Volgens hom word 9 714 van die 333 333 dosisse entstof wat deur die Afrika Entstof Verkrygingstaakspan (AVATT) aangekoop is, in die week van 23 Augustus verwag.
