Henties Bay • Crime Report

A man (44) identified as Willem Vivian Louw allegedly committed suicide this weekend in Henties Bay.

According NamPol’s regional crime investigations coordinator in Erongo, deputy commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, the body of the man was found by a domestic worker.

“It is alleged that on Sunday morning the body of Willem Vivian Louw was discovered hanging from a tree, by a rope in the yard of his house at Gamsberg Street. He lived alone and his body was found by the domestic worker. It is suspected that he hanged himself,” he said.

Louw was last seen alive on Saturday with his friends and had no complaints.

No suicide note was found and no foul play is suspected so far.

The body was transported to Walvis Bay police mortuary for post mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Investigations continue.
