Private South African airline Airlink will be introducing a new route between that country and Namibia as from 2 March, with flights between Cape Town and Walvis Bay.
According to a media release, the Cape Town - Walvis Bay connection brings Airlink flights to four routes between the two countries.
“This new service is ideal for leisure and business travellers, because the harbour town of Walvis Bay is both economically important and serves as the gateway to many attractions in Namibia, including the Namib desert, Swakopmund and the Skeleton Coast,” Airlink CEO Rodger Foster said.
The new offer will also be of interest to national and international travellers.
The flights are scheduled for every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, with departures from Cape Town at 14:00 and arrivals in Walvis Bay at 16:15. The return flight from Walvis Bay is at 16:50, with arrival in Cape Town at around 19:00.
Passengers are allowed to take up to 20kg of luggage, and additional sports luggage weighing a maximum of 15kg is permitted.
