Two new cases for Erongo

He said that 729 results were received from the laboratories. The gender distribution of new cases is 24 males and 20 females. The age range is from three months to 66-years.
The new Covid-19 cases are distributed in Windhoek (17), Oshakati (13), Rehoboth (6), Walvis Bay (2), Engela (2), Karasburg (1), Luderitz (1), Onandjokwe (1) and Omuthiya (1).
The minister said that five of the 17 Windhoek cases are learners from three different schools. Thirteen cases from Oshakati are from institutions, correctional facility and schools.
“It is obvious that Covid-19 is still with us, therefore we continue to caution the public to continue adhering to the preventive measures. This includes frequent hand washing with soap and running water, hand sanitization, consistently and correctly wearing face masks, observing physical distancing and as much as possible avoiding crowded places. The fact that the number of social gatherings have been increased to 200, does not mean we should congregate irresponsibly. The responsibility is with all of us to avoid the transmission of Covid-19.”
Shangula announced 94 recoveries in Ohikoto (77), Khomas (11), Ohangwena (5) and Omusati (1). “Of the active cases, four are in severe to critically sick condition. In the Khomas region, two patients are severely sick while one is critically ill.”
