No new Covid cases recorded in Erongo

Recoveries increasing

There are no patients from the Erongo region amongst the 19 new Covid positive cases reported by the minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula today.

The minister also announced that no Covid-19 related deaths were reported.

The Erongo region is however home to one Covid-19 patient who is in a severe condition and three patients in critical condition with the Khomas region having three patients in severe condition and eight in critical condition.

The minister said that 13 of the newly reported cases are females and six are males with the youngest patient aged four years and the oldest aged 75.

Twelve of the cases are from the Khomas region, five from the Oshana region, with one case each from the Karas and Omusati regions.

Shangula said that 967 test results were received from the laboratories and also announced 150 recoveries bringing the number of recoveries to 8937 in total.
