Well-known musician Lawrence “DJ El Nino” Foreman (38) says that his third and recently released album, Kapana and Beers tha Last Meal, will be his last.

DJ El Nino, who has a love for reggaeton and hip hop, says he decided to name the album Kapana and Beers tha Last Meal, because it is his last meal. “It is my final album,” he confirmed.

The album features three American artists and a number of local performers.

In the meantime, he is also currently producing an album for Maria, who is a 19-year-old upcoming female rapper from the capital. “Maria hails from Havana in Windhoek and is packed with raw talent. She still has not come up with a stage name yet, but has the ability,” DJ El-Nino said.

The artist says that he went to Windhoek before Walvis Bay’s Covid-19 positive cases surged to avoid lockdown restrictions. However, he plans to return to the harbour town soon.

DJ El-Nino made it clear that he is not retiring from music but merely released his final album. His next project will be a mixtape titled Coast to Coast.

“I will feature two rappers from each region in the mixtape. It will not necessarily be the most well-known rappers, as I want to involve upcoming artists so that they can gain some exposure,” he said.

DJ El-Nino’s previous albums are Underrated Kings (2014) and The Return (2016).
