Summer fair brings Christmas spirit

Hundreds of visitors from near and far gathered at the Arnold-Schad Promenade, where this year's Swakopmund summer fair was held.

The exhibitors offered a variety of products under the palm trees lining the avenue.

“The exhibitors were carefully selected so that every visitor had a good shopping experience,” said mayor Louisa Kativa, adding: “The annual fair brings together families and friends and gives small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to present their products to a larger audience present.”

At the occasion, Kativa ushered in the Christmas season in the town and wished all residents and visitors a merry Christmas.

To avoid a second wave of Covid-19 infections, several police officers patrolled the market, which was held in the open, and urged visitors to wear their face masks properly.
