Cuff, Van Der Schyff crowned Seawork Gravel Grinder champions

The 2021 Seawork Gravel Grinder took place at the Moonlight Resort on Saturday.

The event comprised 80km, 50km and 30km cycling races as well as 21km, 10km and 5km running events.

Ingram Cuff was the overall winner for the 80km men’s cycling race.

“It feels great. I was not expecting to win the race,” he said.

The women’s 80km cycling race was won by Lul-Anne van der Schyff.
Event organiser Alfons Kiesewetter says that although they experienced a few hiccups, the event overall was a success and that it would be hosted annually.

N$20 of all the entry fees will be donated to the Seawork Cares Trust.

An estimated 250 competitors competed. Staggered starts ensured that there were not more than 150 persons present at the prize-giving and that Covid regualtion were adhered to.

The organisers called on participants to visit the Cycles4U website to obtain their official times for the respective events.
