‘Rising while helping others’
Under the theme "Rising while helping others", the goal is to keep the orphans warm.
"NANSO wants to make sure kids are warm during this time and they do not fall sick,” said Anna Mulundu, Vice Chairperson of NANSO Erongo region.
“If one wants to do a good deed, they can simply just drop the clothes off the following places in Swakopmund they can drop it off at west side high or Swakopmund Secondary School and as for Walvis Bay and in Henties Bay they can contact either the Erongo regional vice chairperson at 0813313237 or the secretary at 0818206498,” Mulundu said.
Mulundu further pointed out that they have been planning on opening more NANSO branches in schools in Erongo as soon as schools reopen. “We are also planning to launch a campaign soon whereby we assist learners with registering to universities online. However, we are also open to collaborating with other organizations that have similar objectives to us,”
“Please donate as this will save many young people's lives as they are the leaders of tomorrow. It will also however protect the needy from dying of hunger as, we are also collecting non-perishable food for the children,” she added.
NANSO is currently the only organization in Namibia that defends the rights and interest of students to free quality education without discrimination on the basis of sex, colour, creed or political affiliation.
