Tickets for a high tea event themed "Broken but Fabulous" are already sold out.

“There was a limited number of 250 tickets available at N$200 and all were sold well before the date of the event,” confirmed Catharine Maggott, the chairperson of the Christian Woman Ministry (CWM).

The Uniting Reformed Church in Narraville, which was officially opened on 13 November 1965, is in the process of building a hall for the church and extended an invitation to women around the country to the special fundraising event on 21 October 2023 at the Narraville Community Hall.

Maggott introduced the CWM in 1994 with the aim of inspiring women to seek God.

She said the upcoming event will provide a safe space for women where they can commune with other women experiencing similar difficulties and challenges in life. "We intend to support, encourage, and empower each other. Despite what we are going through, we can rise. The aim is to bring women together in support of our mission and to help them gain self-confidence, practice self-care, support and empower each other. It doesn’t matter what happens in our lives, we need to get up and look the world straight in the eye and say we serve an awesome God and He promised us that He will not leave us nor forsake us.”
