Two arrested in connection with attempted murder

Two suspects were arrested in connection with an attempted murder incident that took place in Swakopmund on Friday.

The police requested that anyone with information which could assist in identifying the victim, to urgently contact Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu at cell 0812464757 or Detective Warrant Officer Cletus Kabuku at Cell 0813910671 or the Mondesa police station at 064415007.

"He is brown in complexion, muscular and medium in height. He has a rasta hairstyle and his clothes were found torn and in close proximity to next to where he was laying in a pool of blood," said the Erongo police regional commander for community affairs, inspector Ileni Shapumba.

According to Shapumba the incident happened at approximately 01:28 in Frans Indongo street, behind Woermann Brock in Mondesa. "A report was received from G4S security that, an unidentified and naked male person was found laying in a pool of blood in the street without clothes.The response team found the victim bleeding with wounds to his the head and face and unable to speak. He was taken to the Swakopmund State Hospital and was later transferred to Katutura State Hospital,"

It is alleged that the victim attempted to rob the suspects.
