Body of a baby girl discovered

The body of a full-born baby girl wrapped in a towel was discovered in the area behind Dunes Mall in Walvis Bay on Tuesday.

The Erongo police regional commander for community affairs, inspector Ileni Shapumba, confirmed the incident. "Two witnesses (aged 65 and 25) noticed shopping bags in the bushes. They investigated and discovered the body of a full-born baby girl wrapped in a towel. They informed another witness who reported the matter to the police. The body was taken to the police mortuary."
